I recently ran across a microsoft website that said if you had purchased a new computer within a certain set of dates, then you were eligible to get free products via mail in rebate. But, now I cannot find the website. Anyone know where it might be or anything about this promotion.

As far as I know, Microsoft ended its Vista promotions the end of March 2007. They had things like express upgrades for people who purchased XP at the end of 2006, and individual computer manufacturers offered rebates and other incentives when Vista first came out (Nov 2006 for businesses and Jan 2007 for consumers.)

You could try searching for Microsoft Incentives, Microsoft Promotions, Vista Incentives, etc. but I wasn’t able to find anything currently being offered.
